The Contemporary Art Committee has missed bringing the community of Kirkland Lake unique art experiences this year.

Our Annual Exhibition and Gala may have been cancelled in 2020 but we are continuing to work behind the scenes to bring you some exciting events in the coming years!

Welcome to our
CAC


Created 14 years ago in Kirkland Lake and partnered ever since with the Museum of Northern History
and the KL Arts Club to bring Contemporary Art to Kirkland Lake and the Temiskaming Shores.

Our Galas allow us to fundraise our exhibitions and bring local, national and international performances.

Our residency and exhibition program allowed us to sponsor 25 international artist.

We hosts 2 workshops a year, spring and fall, allowing our guest artist to share their expertise to our community.

NATIONAL ARTIST

Every year we bring one national artist which is hosted at the Museum of Norhtern History during the month of March. Our Next National guest is Juliana Joss.

INTERNATIONAL ARTIST

Every year we bring one international artist which is hosted at the Museum of Northern History during the month of March. Our Next International guest is Andres Hernandez (Cuba-Brazil).

Our committe has created an art collection in collaboration with the Kirkland Lake Hospital. The artist selected for this art collection has been our award winners and our national and international artist. This collection is hosted at the Kirland Lake District Hospital.
